Wayside

It is our hope to engage as many Waysiders as possible to join us for a three-month trial to see what God will awaken in us.

 So what exactly are we proposing?  We are going to encourage you to make Sunday morning worship a priority for you and your family by challenging you to increase the level of your attendance.  The Bible says, “Where two or three are gathered together, there I will be also”. (Matthew 18:20)  We’d like to make that “Where 200 or 300 or 400 are gathered……”.  Wouldn’t that be uplifting for all of us?

 In addition, we will invite you to participate in at least two additional spiritual opportunities, whether they involve service and/or study.  Throughout September we will educate the congregation on the myriad of service/ study opportunities which will be available to us during the months of October, November and December.   You will receive a mailing specifically detailing those opportunities and we will ask you to consider being a part of the three-month “Worship + 2” experience, starting Oct. 1.

 If you are a steady worshiper and are actively involved in the life of the church, you are not off the hook!  We will invite you to add something new to the mix.  Who knows where God might lead you?

 Wayside is already a positive, caring, active church.  We recognize this.  However, after hearing about the amazing growth in spirituality and community-building arising from a “Worship + 2” approach in other churches, we are eager to embark on our own adventure.  We believe that God can do great things in us if we stretch ourselves, and in the process our faith and our fellowship will be strengthened.  If we don’t challenge ourselves, how will we know the great joys we may be missing?  We hope that you will be inspired to be a part of the “Worship + 2” experience.  Why not get a head start on the idea by coming to church next Sunday?  As Jim says, “See you in church”.
